বিষয় [ biṣaẏa ] বি. 1 ইন্দ্রিয়গ্রাহ্য পদার্থ, ভোগ্য বস্তু (বিষয়বাসনা); 2 সম্পত্তি (বিষয়-আশয়); 3 পাত্র, আস্পদ (উপহাসের বিষয়, সে এখন সবার আলোচনার বিষয়); 4 (বিরল) অধিকারভুক্ত স্থান; 5 জেলা; 6 আলোচ্য বা বর্ণনীয় বস্তু (প্রবন্ধের বিষয়); 7 কারণ, হেতু (শোকের বিষয়); 8 সম্বন্ধীয় ব্যাপার (এই ঘটনার বিষয়ে কিছু বলো)। [সং. বি + √ সি + অ]। ~আশয় বি. ধনসম্পত্তি। ~ক বিণ. বহুব্রীহি সমাসে উত্তরপদরূপে বিষয় শব্দের রূপ, সম্পর্কিত, সংক্রান্ত (নীতিবিষয়ক, জ্ঞানবিষয়ক)। ~কর্ম বি. বৈষয়িক বা সাংসারিক কাজ; সম্পত্তি রক্ষণাবেক্ষণের বা পরিচালনার কাজ। ~জ্ঞান বি. 1 কাণ্ডজ্ঞান, বাস্তবজ্ঞান; 2 সম্পত্তি ইত্যাদি সম্পর্কে জ্ঞান। ~তৃষ্ণা, ~বাসনা, ~লালসা বি. ধনসম্পত্তির বা সাংসারিক সুখভোগের লোভ। ~পরায়ণ বিণ. ধনসম্পদের প্রতি আসক্ত; ঘোর সংসারী। ~বস্তু বি. আলোচ্য বা বক্তব্য পদার্থ, মূল আলোচ্য বিষয় (রচনার বিষয়বস্তু)। ~বিতৃষ্ণা, ~বৈরাগ্য বি. ধনসম্পত্তি প্রভৃতি ভোগে অনিচ্ছা বা ঔদাসীন্য। ~বুদ্ধি বি. বৈষয়িক বা সাংসারিক জ্ঞান, বিষয়-আশয় পরিচালনার বুদ্ধি। ~সূচি বি. আলোচ্য ব্যাপারসমূহের ধারাবাহিক তালিকা। বিষয়ান্তর বি. অন্য বিষয়। বিষয়াসক্তি বি. ধনসম্পত্তির বা ভোগ্যবস্তুর প্রতি আকর্ষণ। বিষয়ী (-য়িন্) বিণ. 1 বিষয়াসক্ত; 2 সম্পত্তিশালী। ☐ বি.
