হত [ hata ] a killed, slain; ruined, destroyed, spoiled, pulled down, impaired; lost, bereft of; frustrated, foiled; bad, wretched. ~কুচ্ছিত a. হত [ hata ] বিণ. 1 হত্যা করা বা বধ করা হয়েছে এমন (যুদ্ধে হত সৈনিক); 2 নষ্ট, নাশপ্রাপ্ত (হতগৌরব); 3 লুপ্ত, লোপপ্রাপ্ত (হতচেতন, হতবুদ্ধি); 4 ব্যাহত (হতোদ্যম); 5 মন্দ (হতভাগা)। [সং. √ হন্ + ত]। ~চেতন, ~জ্ঞান বিণ. অচেতন; মূর্ছিত। ~চ্ছাড়া বিণ. লক্ষ্মীছাড়া, হতভাগ্য, দুর্দশাগ্রস্ত। ~দর্প বিণ. (যার) দর্প বা অহংকার নষ্ট হয়েছে এমন। ~প্রায় বিণ. প্রায় বিনষ্ট; মরোমরো। ~বল বিণ. নষ্টশক্তি, বলহীন। ~বাক বিণ. 1 বাক্যহারা; 2 অবাক, বিস্মিত। ~বুদ্ধি, ~ভম্ব বিণ. বুদ্ধি ঘুলিয়ে গেছে এমন, কিংকর্তব্যবিমূঢ়। ~ভাগ্য, ~ভাগা বিণ. ভাগ্য খারাপ এমন, মন্দভাগ্য, দুর্ভাগা। স্ত্রী. ~ভাগ্যা, ~ভাগিনী, ~ভাগী। ~মান বিণ. সম্মানহারা; অবমানিত। ~শ্রদ্ধ বিণ. যার শ্রদ্ধা বা আস্থা লুপ্ত হয়েছে। ~শ্রদ্ধা বি. (বাং.) অশ্রদ্ধা, অবজ্ঞা। ~শ্রী বিণ. শ্রীভ্রষ্ট; সম্পদহারা (হতশ্রী পল্লি, হতশ্রী গ্রাম)।
